Jewelcollect endeavors to join together all lovers of fine collectible costume jewelry for mutual beneficial exchange of ideas, advice, and networking. It is a friendly list, subscription by approval only.

It is the goal of Jewelcollect to provide an environment where friendships and the business of collecting, trading and selling collectible jewelry may thrive in an atmosphere of honesty and trust.

Jewelcollect is a very active list. If you like receiving 60-100 emails per day, Jewelcollect is for you. If you have a small email box and cannot check your email often, your full mailbox will cause unsubscription from Jewelcollect.

Please Note: Email addresses from free-of-cost web-based email services will not be accepted for subscription to Jewelcollect, for the following reasons:

1. The mail storage per user is too limited for the heavy volume list mail for which Jewelcollect is known. List mail has been refused for relay by the free-of-cost web-based email services so subscribers do not receive their list messages.

2. No identification information, such as home address, etc., needs to be supplied to subscribe to a free-of-cost email service. This encourages anonymity. Other list subscribers are therefore vulnerable to actions of those who would use the free-of-cost email to take advantage of the subscribers and then disappear.

Do not put anything else ANYWHERE ELSE in the message. Leave Subject line blank. If you are with AOL, a period < . > may be put there (without the <>) to bypass the AOL requirement that something must be typed in the Subject line. Be careful with spelling and do not change case or break up the words! Must be exactly as above, or majordomo doesn't understand it.

Majordomo, automated list boss, will forward your request to the list-owner for approval. When approved, you will receive a Welcome letter, and you are onboard Jewelcollect. Approval may take up to 24 hours. List posts (letters) will arrive to your email address. The Subject line will have JC: in it, telling you that these are Jewelcollect list posts.

If you go away for a few days, and don't wish to receive Jewelcollect posts while you are away, you may unsubscribe from the list. This is recommended as your mailbox may fill up and further Jewelcollect mail cannot be delivered. A "Full Mailbox" results in automatic unsubscription from the list. You may resubscribe if this happens to you. You are always welcome back.

Do not include the [ ] above. Majordomo will confirm to you by email that you have been unsubscribed from the list and no further messages will arrive to your email address. The Official Jewelcollect Badge may be copied and printed out to be used as a sign or sticker on store displays or show booths. It is also available for linking or display on Member web sites. Write to administrator for source code by return email.
